Plan topic clusters — before you hit write

The content planner helps a team decide which URL is the pillar, which are spokes, and in what order to publish. It does not write bodies and it is not a TikTok/Facebook calendar.

The problem: a queue of disconnected posts

Agency sites often have twenty posts “about the same big topic” with no pillar, and two URLs fighting one query. The calendar follows whoever is free, not the SERP gap found in research.

Citely keeps a topic map in the workspace

Planning groups researched ideas into clusters, notes priority, then hands a due item to the writer. Multi-tenant: each customer workspace/site has its own plan — queues are not mixed.

Planning flow

  1. 01

    Group topics into clusters

A cluster is a pillar plus spokes, not an arbitrary folder.

  2. 02

    Prioritise from coverage gaps

Items rise when research shows missing intent — not when a writer happens to be idle.

  3. 03

Stop duplicate intent in the queue

The planner exists because the writer alone cannot remember which query is already covered.

  4. 04

Open the writer when an item is due

Only then does the AI SEO Writer run. Monthly article quota is consumed at generate time, not when a card moves on the board.

What the planner does

Honest limits

The planner does not publish for you and does not run social calendars. A WordPress editorial calendar, if added later, is not this landing. Article caps still apply at generate time, per the price list.
